9/11 Field of Flags, Riverfront Park, Salem Oregon 2011

In 2011, for the 10th anniversary we build a field of flags in the Waterfront Park located in Salem Oregon.

 The whole process was a lot of work and required a lot of help to accomplish this. 

Les Schwab Tire Centers provided a lot of the man power to drive in the stakes that would hold the flags. 

Volunteers from the local TSA, Military, Fire Department, EMS and many others helped.

This slideshow which is many, many hours compressed into 1 hour and 6 minutes brings you the highlights of this project.

Veterans of Oregon Field of Honor, Sandy OR 2008

Even though this was not a 9/11 tribute, this Traveling Memorial stopped in a field in Sandy, Oregon. It paid tribute to many Oregon military men and women that gave their all in the early stages of the war in Iraq. Thius was not one of Kelly's project, but I spotted him out there helping.These are only some snapshots from before the event on July 4th, 2008, at which time I was out of area.
